About

Ester Mushroom Farm

Up on Old Ridge Trail, off the Old Nenana Highway in Ester,

Stands a beautiful old growth boreal hillside forest:

Thick moss and berries carpet the earth;

Tall white spruce canopy towers;

Aspen groves quake:

Hericium mushrooms growing on the deceased birch trees.

Humans moved in to the vibrant landscape. Brad Blickenstaff set out to further the natural self-propogation of the local lion's mane mushroom by means of laboratory spawn-creation, to fruit for fresh foodmedicine, and to be replanted in the mother forest, in service to the mushroom; may the wind carry your spores far.
